Anyone interested in becoming a part of the Mt. Airy Baptist Church Disaster Relief team must first complete the initial training that is offered twice each year, in March and in October. Below is all of the information that you will need.  If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Billy Ausburn at 864-269-1328 or email the church office at info@mtairybaptist.com The Disaster Relief Training Conference is for persons willing to give of their time and engery to help others that are in crisis.  You will learn how to respond to people in a time of crisis.  Your response will allow others to see Jesus in you through your loving response to their needs.  Training is required to go on a deployment with any disaster relief team. South Carolina Disaster Relief (SCDR) currently has over 5,000 trained volunteers and is supported by 102 units.  South Carolina has served in many disasters since its inception in 1989, most notably the 9/11 attack in New York and the Hurricane Katrina response.  To view a copy of the South Carolina Disaster Relief Newsletter, click here.
