Senior Adults (Young at Heart)

We all need encouragement and fellowship with other Christians. At Mt. Airy, we seek to minister to our adults aged 55+ during a monthly meal and program time on the second Thursday night of each month at 7:00 p.m. in our fellowship building.

Each meeting begins with a short devotion given by one of the group members. The meals are free and members pay $1.00 per month to offset program costs. Menus are chosen to provide a wide variety of tastes and appeal to most of our members. Some months we go to a local restaurant. Musical guest are the most popular programs, but we also have speakers that share information of interest to seniors in this age group. From time to time we play games including a group favorite, bingo (doesn't everyone love prizes?).

There is always time each month for "catching up" with friends that we don't otherwise have a chance to chat with. There is usually at least one of our pastors who joins in with the group - providing an excellent opportunity to talk with them, too. In addition to the monthly meetings we try to schedule a couple of outings each year that are special times and give us great memories.

If you are new to Mt. Airy, we invite you to join us for food, fellowship, and fun each month. Come and make some new friends. If you are not new to Mt.
