The Role of the Worship Choir

Our Sunday Services at Mt. Airy provide an "entrance point" for our guests. Music, as well as other artistic expressions, play a great role in the introduction of our church to everyone who attends. Most contemporary churches have done away with the choir, but at MABC we are committed to the role of the choir. Here are some reasons why we are passionate about a worship leading choir:

·         Music is a tool to draw people to MABC and ultimately to Christ

·         Special seasonal choir events open the door for unbelievers

·         The membership of MABC loves music, including songs from our choir and Praise Team

·         Choir provides many people with an outlet for service and ministry.

·         Visually and musically, the choir has a tremendous impact on the energy level of our service.

·         The choir is contagious! The congregation will never express themselves corporately more than what the choir models for them. When you sing in the choir, you are a worship leader!

Musical Styles

Every week we see 800+ people enter into the sanctuary. With them they bring their various backgrounds, preferences, and styles. Because of this we strive to incorporate a wide range of musical styles into our services. If you don''t care for a particular song we are doing, keep in mind that it may be reaching someone else. We will get to your style soon enough!
