About Mt. Airy Baptist Church     

Mt. Airy Baptist Church is about community.   It can best be described as people loving people.  A church is not the bricks and mortar that make up the building structure, but it is people joining together, caring about each other, caring enough to go the extra mile to help people that have a need.  This is what Mt. Airy feels Christ wants  the church to be and do. Mt. Airy takes seriously Christ's teaching that we love everyone as we do ourselves. How do we show that we care?

We do this by encouraging one another in small group Bible Study classes which we call Bible Study Fellowship. Bible Study Fellowship groups meet each Sunday morning, allowing members and guests the opportunity to develop long lasting friendships as they study God's word together. Bible study is where we build a sense of family and community. It does not matter what size the church is, the people in your fellowship group will be your closest friends.

The Mt. Airy family places a strong emphasis on worship. Our worship services lead people to have a genuine encounter with the living God. From praise-filled, heart lifting music, to meaningful Bible lessons that you apply to life, you will find that everything is focused on creating an experience of true worship. You'll take with you a message from God's Word and friends who are God's people.

Not only does Mt. Airy share Christ locally but also throughout the world. Currently the church has two strategic partnerships, one with a Baptist church called, "The Sanctuary of Milton," near Toronto, Canada, and a second partnership with a Hispanic Baptist church in Easley, S.C. called, "Iglesia Bautista Hispana La Roca."  Mt Airy is also a Strategy Coordinator Church for the Iraza/Cartago area of Costa Rica. Each year additional mission trips are planned throughout the United States, and in other countries where the good news about Jesus has never been carried before.
